Mr. Cavin Davis

We at John Ehret High School believe in the strength of our tradition, and we proudly say, Once a Patriot, Always a Patriot. That phrase continues to ring true as we celebrate the diversity, resilience, and potential of our students. It is this cultural richness that fuels our commitment to academic excellence, personal growth, and leadership development.  
 
As the new principal of John Ehret High School, I bring over 20 years of experience as an educator, school leader, and advocate for student and staff success. With this experience, I step into this role with a clear vision: to set and uphold high expectations in every classroom, for every student, and for every adult on this campus. When expectations are clear, consistent, and reinforced with support, our students rise to meet them, and so must we.  
 
At Ehret, we believe that accountability is the foundation of excellence. Accountability to ourselves, our students, our colleagues, and our community. Every Patriot, no matter their background, deserves access to consistent instruction, clear expectations, and a culture that supports their growth.  
 
This year, our theme is “Accountability in Action.” We will model this through:  

• Team Over Self- We hold one another accountable for contributing to the collective success of our school.  
• Consistency Over Intensity- We commit to showing up every day with purpose, not just during high-stakes moments.  
• Systems Over Savior-We rely on strong structures and shared responsibility, not individual heroics.   

Our mission is to prepare students to thrive not only in school but in life. Our students are the future leaders and culture bearers of this community, and we must ensure they are equipped with the skills, mindset, and support to reach their full potential.  

At John Ehret, accountability is not just a word. It’s how we lead, how we teach, and how we grow. We look forward to building this vision together, as a unified Patriot family.
